John Adams in a speech to the military in 1798 warned his fellow countrymen stating. "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions and unbridled by morality and religion...Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people . It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other"

 

Noah Webster, author of the first speller and dictionary said "The Christian religion, in its purity, is the basis, or rather the source of all genuine freedom in government... and I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist or be durable in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence"

 

None of the Founding Fathers believed the Government should be involved with religion as to a single individual rights to believe in God or Not, They believed that the republican form of Government they created can not and will not continue to exist without a moral people and moral Government that is not based on the precepts of the Christian religion and the rights of the people to practice it with full freedom not hampered by government! Example freedom of speech in any federal building or on any federal property allow the individual to say they hate or don't believe in God or religion and Christians have the same right to pray or speak of the Bible on any federal property.

 

I read a recent study that a majority of Americans believe the first amendment to the constitution contains the words separation of church and state or a wall of separation , sadly enough if you tell a lie often enough people will actually believe it.

 

Amendment !

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion , or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

 

AND THAT IS EVERY WORD IN THE FIRST AMENDMENT, I see no restrictions only the guarantee to practice or speak freely , Every day hear things that we  totally or disgustingly disagree with and we are guaranteed we don't have to pay attention but not the right to prevent the other from speaking or in the case of religion prohibiting the free exercise of it!

 

Pray for those who don't believe

Pray for peace

Pray for America

Pray for our brother and sister riders that God will heal them
