The American Legion Riders of Georgia

Image result for wreaths across america 2015

This is a very important and worthwhile project that the entire Legion family should be involved with.  Through this program we honor our fallen heroes, veterans that have passed on to Post Everlasting, and we also support our Georgia Veterans at VA hospitals and clinics in the State through a donation to the Department Commanders Joint Special Project. This fund supplies much needed non-appropriated items that our Georgia veterans need and want.

  • If every Legion Post, SAL Squadron, Auxiliary Unit, ALR Chapter and District organization sponsors 10 wreaths, we would place appromimately 5,120 wreaths.
  • The rebate for the Department Special Project would be $25,600!

This would go a long way to reaching our annual goal of $100,000!  This year we are supporting wreaths being placed at the cemeteries below.  If you have another cemetery that you would like to donate a wreath/s to, please contact Tony Propst and he will help you get that accomplished.

  • Andersonville National Cemetery
  • Chattanooga National Cemetery
  • Ft Mitchell National Cemetery
  • Georgia National Cemetery
  • Glennville State Cemeter
  • Marietta National Cemetery
  • Milledgeville State Cemetery

You can donate online at our Wreaths across America Sponsor Page.  Once you are on the page, scroll down to the "Locations We Sponsor" on the left and click the donate button by the cemetery where you would like to place a wreath.  To donate online, please chick here.

We also have downloadable/fillable PDF's that you can fill in online, print and mail to Wreaths across America with your check.  Please click on the cemetery of your choice:

The State House ceremony will be held at the State Capital Building on Monday December 11th at 11:30 AM.
