Sunday, January 7th - ALR 172 Take the L.E.A.D. and Ride For the Blue. Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Proceeds to Benefit GEORGIA C.O.P.S. We welcome Bikes and Cars to this Ride. Come Show Your Support for Our Law Enforcement Officers in Blue. $20 each for this Ride. Ride includes BBQ Sandwich and Chip. Also with the First 35 Registrations a LEAD 2018 Patch. Meet up at the American Legion Post 172 off Watson Blvd across from the Ramada Inn at 12 NOONpm. KSU at 2pm. We will have a 5 Card Poker Run with this Ride, however due to the lack of space at each location we will Draw 3 cards after Registration and 2 final cards when we return to the Legion. $100 Best Hand / $25 Worst Hand. KSU 2pm. We have invited Our Law Enforcement Officers from each PD and Sheriffs Departments to join us at the Legion for a Thank You Dinner of BBQ Sandwiches and Chips. Saturday, January 20th - ALR 172 Homeport work day to benefit our homeless veterans. Starts @ 9:00 am at 5009 Harrison Rd, Macon. Click here for the event flyer.
Saturday, March 10th - ALR 172 Bike A Thon for the DAV. Come join the American Legion Riders of Post 172 to raise money for the Local DAV. The Ride will consist of around 300 miles round trip. Starting at The American Legion Post 172 on March 10, 2018 at 8am. We will register and do a mileage verification check on any one that is being sponsored to ride. Otherwise the ride is a flat rate of $30 per bike or car. Sponor Sheet can be printed or ask your local ALR 172 Member for a copy. The First 50 People Registered will recieve a ALR172 Bike A Thon Patch. We will leave out at 9am and will stop multiple times for breaks, gas and socializing. We will also stop for lunch (location to be determined). Hotel will be available in the Brunswick area for those that will like to spend the night. Casino Cruise available for those that want to Gamble Saturday night. American Legion Post 9 in Brunswick if you would like to visit.
